Love is stronger than justice

Sting said that, and it is perfectly true. So if you feel that you have been « unjusted » and are looking for ‘justice’, you may be looking for the wrong thing. What would happen if you sought love instead? And what would happen if you gave love instead of seeking it? This might require a bit of forgiveness. Yet if you start with yourself–if you begin by forgiving yourself for all the things you may have done that were not okay with another, you will find it much easier to forgive another for what was done that is not okay with you. It’s just a thought… Neale Donald Walsch

Thought of the Day

Why can human beings not understand that everything they do has consequences and that they cannot continue to transgress the laws of nature and disrupt the work of the elements with impunity? Through their actions, but also through their thoughts and feelings, and through their anarchic attitude, they provoke the forces of nature, which eventually respond to restore order. Nature is not something lifeless or unfeeling which we have the right to treat as we please. Whenever human beings go beyond the limits of what it can bear, nature strikes back. Thought of the Day

We must think of purifying ourselves each and every day – yes, every day. You purified yourself yesterday? Well, that was for yesterday; today you must start again. So, start again until your whole being is completely renewed. Purification is the work of a lifetime. It is not because someone was immersed in water on the day of their baptism that evil spirits will be warded off for the rest of their life. Devils are not afraid of such baptisms! A person must work throughout their life to preserve and nourish what they received on the day of their baptism; if they do not continue to make efforts in the same vein, it is of no use to glory in having been baptized – no trace of it remains. Quote of the Day

Someone presents you with a loaf of bread and says, ‘It’s really good, it will give you strength.’ You take it and eat it, and it makes you sick, so in fact, this bread is bad. The proof is clear – you must not keep eating it. Someone else brings you another loaf of bread, and after having eaten it, you feel great. This proves that their bread is good. The same holds true in every field. Someone tells you about a philosophy, saying that it is the best, that you should adopt it. Well, do a little checking. If you begin to see more clearly, if you feel more love, impetus, and inspiration in your heart, if your will to work and resolve every problem becomes stronger, then accept this philosophy. Even if a tramp or an outcast presents it to you, it is excellent. You have the...

Thought of the Day

What characterizes a truly spiritual person and distinguishes them from other people is the extraordinary unity they have achieved within themselves: their thoughts, feelings, and actions are coordinated and directed towards a single ideal; nothing is at odds within them. While in ordinary people, this unity is lacking – their desires pull them in one direction, their thoughts in another, and their actions in yet a third direction. There is a story about a mole, an eagle and a fish who got together to carry a heavy load. What happened? The mole tried to go underground, the eagle flapped its wings to take flight, and the fish wanted to dive into the water. Obviously, given these competing forces, the load remained exactly where it was! Most human beings also go in all directions,...

Word of the Day

If you want to improve yourself and become wiser, stronger and more radiant, you must spend a lot of time wishing for and visualizing these qualities. Imagine yourself surrounded by light, sending your love throughout the whole world, and withstanding all temptations and difficulties. Little by little, the images you form of these qualities become alive, they act upon you and transform you as they work to attract the right elements from the universe and draw them into you. Of course, it takes a good deal of time and work to achieve results, but the day this result presents itself, there can be no doubt about it – you feel a living entity above you protecting you, teaching you, purifying you, enlightening you, and offering you the support you need in times of hardship. You must begin...

Quote of the Day

Most human beings cling to their limited concept of life, which is why their face bears the marks of the disarray and turmoil in which they are embroiled. Their lives are nothing but pettiness, discord, arguments and vexations inspired by their lower nature, which they refuse to sacrifice. Yet fire shows us that without sacrifice there would be no life. When you light a fire, all the black, twisted branches are transformed into energy, light and heat. This is why we must make up our mind to light the fire within us in order to burn all the rubbish, which as it is consumed, will also become light and heat. As long as we equate sacrifice with deprivation and impoverishment, we have not understood a thing. True sacrifice is the transformation of all the worn out, antiquated, impure elements...

Word of the Day

Alchemists say that to obtain the philosopher’s stone, the work must begin when the Sun enters the constellation of Aries and the moon enters that of Taurus, because the Sun is exalted in Aries and the Moon is exalted in Taurus. Gemini, the sign that follows, is ruled by Mercury O. The Sun and the Moon unite to give birth to a child, Mercury. The symbol for Mercury is formed by the disc of the Sun and the crescent Moon, with a plus sign +, the sign for addition, to symbolize their union. The symbol for Mercury is thus the union of the Sun and the Moon. The Sun and the Moon give birth to the child, Mercury, the philosopher’s stone. But the philosopher’s stone that the alchemists sought was, in reality, a symbol of sublimation, of the transformation of man who becomes luminous, immortal...

Quote of the Day

Many artists have deliberately sought to have multiple love affairs because they believed that love kept their inspiration alive. Unfortunately, this very human, sensual, fickle love, while indeed the source of some inspiration, was principally the cause of tremendous havoc. Love is like wine, it is intoxicating, but this headiness sought in the lower regions leads to the same physical and moral degeneration as alcohol abuse. And yet knowing how to love is the greatest thing. True love makes you more beautiful, it enlightens you. Thanks to this love, you do good to all creatures, and above all, you are happy. Wisdom will not bring you happiness, neither will power. Power might make you invincible but no happier. To be happy, you have to love. Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Quote of the Day

You always blame the conditions in life and feel that you are the victim of fate, of society, of your family and so on. No, it is you who by your attitude have consciously or unconsciously chosen your present conditions. Change your attitude, and conditions will change. Because they are changing all the time according to the way you are, to your understanding and your behaviour. As long as you think that external, material conditions are the determining factors, and you do nothing to reinforce and improve yourself, know that misfortunes await you. But if you give priority to the spirit, light and inner strength, conditions will eventually conform to these divine principles. For ‘that which is below is like that which is above’, and with time, what is above ends up being realized below,...

Word of the Day

A Master is like a father or mother who educates you, and just as you must not remain with your father or mother forever, your goal must not be to cling to your Master, but to go towards God. Moreover, your Master does not stay still either, he too goes towards God, and you must follow him to reach God. The point of departure is God, and the destination is also God. You will say, ‘So, my father and mother do not count?’ They were like entrepreneurs; they built your body, your house – a cabin or a temple, it depends. ‘But I want them to be with me.’ Well then, encourage them along your path. But if they do not wish to follow you, you should not stay with them, that is to say, remain at their level. This is why Jesus said, ‘You will leave your father and your mother, and...

Quote of the Day

Eating a lot will not make you healthier. On the contrary, eating a lot is very harmful. What matters is the quality of the food, and above all, the way you eat. Even if you reduce your portions, you can draw more energy from your food if you have learned to absorb it with love and consciousness. If you manage to free your mind at mealtime and focus your attention on the food so as to penetrate it with rays of love, a separation occurs between its matter and its energy: the matter disintegrates, while the energy enters into you and becomes available to you. The same processes are at work in a thermonuclear plant. If human beings really knew how to eat, only a few mouthfuls would suffice. They would draw enough energy to move the whole universe. Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Thought of the Day

As a consequence of today’s emphasis on developing the intellect, human beings have become aggressive, critical and separate. This is why they are not happy. In order to be happy they must work to develop another principle within themselves: their soul. But the soul can only flourish in the fraternal life where, like bees gathered to make honey, everyone works to realize the will of God and his kingdom on earth. Once they will have understood the ravages caused by exclusively developing the intellect at the expense of other faculties, human beings will decide to emphasize brotherly relations. Then, they will find happiness. Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

Word of the Day

You see a man standing there quietly; he is still, with a relaxed expression on his face. Suddenly, he receives a jolt from deep down inside – a thought or a feeling of fear, love or anger – and then everything changes, his features, the look in his eye, the tone of his skin. How can the physical body change so suddenly under the impulse of something as intangible and subtle as a thought or a feeling? Just one emotion and we become petrified! Sometimes people even die because of an emotion. How can an emotion have such power over the physical body? Everyone has noticed these phenomena, so why haven’t they ever drawn the conclusion that the psychic life controls the physical life? The physical body is not responsible for anything; it is always dependent on some element above...

Quote of the Day

You must open yourself up in order to receive the beneficial influences around you. Heaven has poured out all its blessings in abundance and if you fail to receive them, it is because your view of things is so limited that you have cut yourself off from the divine world. Then, you complain, ‘Oh, nobody hears me, nobody has come to help me – angels do not exist, God does not exist!’ There you have it: human beings create their own deplorable situations, and then they draw conclusions about the existence of God! They should try to open themselves up a little to heaven, to communicate with divine entities, then they would discover that these entities were there all along to support and enlighten them – it was simply up to them to seek this help. We do ourselves harm when we...
